The Central Asia natural gas pipeline delivers more than 47.9 billion cubic meters of gas to China

Urumqi, January 6 (Xinhua) according to the statistics of PetroChina western pipeline company on January 6, the Central Asia natural gas pipeline, China's first transnational gas pipeline, delivered more than 47.9 billion cubic meters of natural gas to China in 2019.
The Central Asia natural gas pipeline starts from the border between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan in the west, passes through central Uzbekistan and southern Kazakhstan, and enters through Xinjiang Horgos port. At present, ABC three lines are parallel. After entering, it is connected with west east gas pipeline 2 and 3 through Horgos compressor station, with a total length of 1833 km and a total design gas transmission capacity of 60 billion cubic meters per year.

 

  According to the western pipeline company, the Central Asia natural gas pipeline has been in stable and safe operation for 10 years since it was put into operation in December 2009. As of December 31, 2019, the third line of the Central Asia natural gas pipeline has imported 294.6 billion cubic meters of natural gas.
The main gas sources of Central Asia gas pipeline are Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan gas source was developed in 2017. At present, the natural gas transported from Central Asian countries to China benefits more than 500 million people in 27 provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region every year.
